Question 1

How much does dashboard design cost?

Accepted Answer

Dashboard design projects typically start at $25,000-$34,000 for a fixed-scope engagement, while ongoing design support starts at $2,999/month for startups and $5,499/month for growing teams that need more capacity.

The final cost depends on the complexity of your product, including the number of screens, user roles, workflows, dashboards, data visualizations, and whether you need a design system or responsive layouts.

Before providing a quote, we'll review your product, goals, and timeline during a discovery call. You'll then receive a clear proposal outlining the scope, deliverables, timeline, and total cost - so you know exactly what you're getting before the project begins.

There are no hidden fees or surprise charges, and we'll help you choose the pricing model that best fits your product and budget.

Question 2

How long does a dashboard design project take?

Accepted Answer

Most dashboard design projects take 2-6 weeks, depending on the scope and complexity.

A simple dashboard with a limited number of screens can often be completed in 2-3 weeks, while larger SaaS platforms with multiple user roles, complex workflows, data visualizations, and a design system usually take 4-8 weeks.

You'll start seeing wireframes and early design concepts within the first 7-10 days, so you can review the direction and provide feedback early in the process. Before the project begins, we'll define the scope, timeline, milestones, and review sessions, so you'll always know what to expect and when each deliverable will be ready.

If you have a tight deadline, we can also adjust the team and workflow to help accelerate delivery where possible.

Question 3

Can you redesign our existing dashboard?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Most of the dashboards we work on are existing products, not brand-new ideas.

Over time, dashboards often become harder to navigate as new features, reports, and user roles are added. Instead of rebuilding everything from scratch, we focus on improving what already exists.

That could mean simplifying workflows, reorganizing information, modernizing the interface, improving data visualization, or making the experience more consistent across the product.

If parts of your current dashboard work well, we'll keep them. If something is slowing users down or creating unnecessary complexity, we'll redesign it.

Our goal is to make your dashboard easier to use, easier to maintain, and ready to grow with your product - without disrupting the experience your users already know.

Question 4

Do you only design dashboards, or can you build them too?

Accepted Answer

We do both. Orbix Studio brings product designers and developers together under one team, so we can take your dashboard from the first wireframe to a fully functional product.

If you only need design, we'll deliver developer-ready Figma files with everything your engineering team needs. If you need development as well, our designers and developers work side by side throughout the project to ensure the final product matches the approved designs.

This approach reduces handoff issues, speeds up development, and gives you one team responsible for the entire project instead of managing multiple vendors.

Question 5

What's included in your dashboard design service?

Accepted Answer

Every dashboard project is different, but the goal is always the same: to give you everything needed to move from an idea to a dashboard that's ready to build.

Depending on your product and scope, we'll handle discovery, UX research, user flows, wireframes, UI design, data visualization, responsive layouts, design systems, interactive prototypes, and developer handoff.

Throughout the project, you'll work directly with a dedicated team and receive regular updates, design reviews, and opportunities to provide feedback.

If you also need development, the same team can design, build, test, and launch your dashboard, giving you one partner from start to finish.

Question 6

Will I receive the Figma source files?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once the project is complete and the final payment has been made, you'll receive the original Figma source files along with all approved designs, components, prototypes, icons, images, and design assets created for your project.

If we've built a design system or component library, that will be included as well, making it easy for your team to maintain and expand the product over time. There are no licensing fees or restrictions on the work we create for you - you own the final deliverables.

If your developers need support during implementation, we're also happy to answer questions, provide design clarification, or continue working with your team to ensure the finished product matches the approved designs.

Question 7

How many revisions are included?

Accepted Answer

Every project includes up to two rounds of revisions after the initial design presentation. Throughout the design process, you'll have opportunities to share feedback during wireframing, UX planning, and design reviews, so many ideas are refined before the final UI is presented.

Once the final design direction has been approved, you can request one additional round of design revisions to fine-tune details such as layouts, components, spacing, colors, or interactions.

After those revisions are completed and approved, the designs are finalized and prepared for handoff or development. This structured approach keeps the project moving, prevents endless revision cycles, and ensures everyone stays aligned on the agreed scope and timeline.

If you have questions about how revisions work or need changes beyond the agreed scope, feel free to email hello@orbix.studio, call +1 (646) 598-7983, or book a free discovery call. We'll be happy to walk you through the process before your project begins.

Question 8

How do we get started?

Accepted Answer

Getting started is simple. Book a discovery call and tell us about your product, users, goals, and timeline.

We'll review your requirements, discuss the best approach, and answer any questions you have.

After the call, you'll receive a proposal outlining the scope, timeline, pricing, and next steps. Once approved, we'll schedule a kickoff meeting and begin the project.

Question 9

Can you work with our in-house product or engineering team?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Many of our clients already have product managers, designers, or engineering teams. We work as an extension of your team, collaborating through your existing tools and workflows.

Whether you need us to design alongside your product team or hand off developer-ready files to your engineers, we'll adapt to the way your team works and keep communication clear throughout the project.

Question 10

Can you design dashboards for complex SaaS or enterprise products?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Designing complex software is one of our core strengths. We've designed dashboards for SaaS platforms, fintech products, healthcare systems, ERP and CRM platforms, AI applications, logistics software, real estate platforms, HR tools, and internal business systems used by growing startups and enterprise teams.

Whether your product serves multiple user roles, requires advanced permissions, handles large volumes of data, or includes complex workflows, we design dashboards that make those experiences easier to understand and use.

If your product has unique requirements, we'd love to learn more. Book a free discovery call and we'll discuss your product, challenges, and goals to see how we can help design a dashboard that fits your business.
