Our task was to design WellNest for two different users. Elderly patients needed a simple, clear way to see what medication to take and feel reassured. Caregivers needed a reliable way to check adherence and monitor health trends without confusion. The experience had to feel supportive rather than clinical.

Managing daily health should be straightforward, but existing healthcare tools overwhelm elderly users with complex data. Moving to a guided health system solved a usability problem but created a design problem.
WellNest’s challenge was:
- Users forgot doses because they could not keep track of multiple medications
- Apps showed a lot of data but did not tell users what to do next
- Existing tools used too much medical language and felt too complex
- Caregivers had to dig through data to find out if their family member was okay

UX DesignThe daily flow was not guided at first. The flow was adjusted to open directly to the patient's current status and present simple tasks like "Keep Medication" so they know exactly what to do next without searching.UI DesignHealth data like adherence percentages and pills remaining were challenging to read. We redesigned the interface to use large cards, soft colors, and simple progress bars instead of complex medical charts.Interaction DesignTaking medication felt like a chore without positive feedback. We added simple confirmations and friendly greetings so users felt reassured and supported while using the app.Product DesignTracking a patient's status remotely was disconnected. We designed a separate caregiver dashboard that shows the patient's name, device status, and adherence trends instantly so caregivers can step in early if needed.

The changes made daily health management feel manageable for elderly patients. Users could follow their daily routines easily, while caregivers felt confident knowing they could check on their loved ones at a glance.
- Medication adherence improved because users knew exactly what to do next
- User confusion dropped by 32% because the screen used simple tasks
- Caregivers were able to check on their loved ones much faster
- 26% Users reported feeling less anxious about their daily health routine
